Clerk to the Governors

Salary:  Scale 3 £1143.41 to £1207.72 per annum
           Scale 4 £1220.80 to £1328.71 per annum

Grade: Scale 3 or 4 according to experience

Following the resignation of our current Clerk, we are looking to recruit someone to provide administrative support to the Governing Body of our school.
The governing body holds 6 Full Governing Body Meetings each year; one per half term. Meetings are usually held early evening (6pm).
In addition, the Resources committee holds one meeting per term. These are usually held during school hours.
The role involves keeping records, producing agendas, taking and producing minutes and ensuring our meetings run according to correct procedures. Please see attached Job Description for full details of the post.
There will be induction training and ongoing support. An interest in schools and how they run would be a definite advantage.

ESSENTIAL:
Experience of administrative support.
Ability to work to deadlines;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Good ICT skills

DESIRABLE:
Knowledge of Schools and how they are governed.
